I have a XL for my Brittany Spaniel that weighs 30 kg, small chest, but otherwise it's a pretty good measure. This is a fantastic purchase. My dog won't mind, we love it and she looks adorable in it. the only problem was the head moves laterally, but I just put another sticky Velcro in between the back and the head is stationary now. you race probably 30 mph and tosses and turns and holding really well. easy to put on her too.
